Chris Logan is a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries Australia and member of the Institute of Internal Auditors New Zealand.  Chris has experience in the public sector and the insurance industry. 

Insurance Experience

Chris has worked as an actuarial consultant, advising Australia, New Zealand and Pacific life and non-life insurers. His experience includes:

• (Captive) Insurance liability valuations, sales and expense reporting

• Business case advice including new product feasibility assessments

• Buy/Sell Side Due Diligence including forecasting financial statements 

• Quantitative Risk Assessments and stress testing 

• Process documentation and code level review

Internal Audit  Experience

Chris has worked as an internal auditor in New Zealand, assisting public organisations in a number of areas including:

• Standard audit areas: Procurement, delegated authority, payroll, billing, leases and fraud testing etc

• Other functions: Public safety, regulatory enforcement, marina, transfer station, events centre, workplace stress controls

Other  Financial Advisory Experience

Chris has various finance advisory experience including:

• Customised Price Pathway and Information Disclosure advice for regulated firms (electricity and aviation) 

• Insurance management (claims preparation, PL & PI notifications to insurers, renewal submissions, insurance strategy, insurance captive feasibility and premium allocation advice)

• Cost estimates to support legal cases including a Treaty of Waitangi claim

• General non-financial risk management advice
